Important First Steps in Your Long-Term Recovery from Tropical Storm Fay:

1. Register with FEMA (www.fema.gov or 800-621-3362) BEFORE November 10th, 2008. You may not need FEMA assistance now, but if you do not apply by the deadline, you will not be able to utilize their assistance later.  

2. Register with the Red Cross 866-245-9180

3. Call your home-owner's insurance company. If you are not covered, get a letter from them stating so.

4. Call VIND 386-255-5510 to help you come up with a plan for long-term recovery BEFORE you hire contractors. You can also come see us at the Disaster Recovery Center in the Walmart parking lot in Orange City while it remains open.
