The My Safe Florida Home Mitigation program is currently closed to new applicants. If you or your neighbors are interested in the continuation of the My Safe Florida Home mitigation program, please write or email your State Representatives to encourage continuation of the My Safe Florida Home Mitigation program. Please share with them what the program means to you and your neighbors!

If continued, the My Safe Florida Home program could offer free wind inspections by qualified hurricane mitigation inspectors to eligible homeowners. Under the new law, the Department must prioritize and direct funds to homes located in the wind-borne debris region.

VIND is currently searching for ways to fund a continuation of a mitigation program for Volusia County home owners. We are compiling a list of interest. If you are interested in being placed on this list for future contact if funding does become available. No promises are being made at this time.
